Healthy Starvation Prevention

Here is a list of some of my favorite foods to keep on hand at all times. These are not only packed with nutrient dense calories, but are also easy on your wallet. Who said being healthy had to be expensive?

1.) Garlic

I know Garlic has a bad rep for giving body odor and making your breath so rank that driving around in a Rolls Royce won't even get you a lady. But that's what normal hygiene practices are for, so don't slack in
that department when you eat an Indian Curry. Even though the smell we get from garlic isn't so pleasant, the smell of garlic itself, especially when being cooked, is intoxicating. This is because its jam packed with sulphur-containing compounds. These compounds make it an anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial food item. One trick to elevate garlic's health promoting skills is to chop it and let it sit for a few minutes before cooking, just make sure to shower with two different body washes the next day.

2.) Potatoes, the sweet ones too

Potatoes, delicious food or ammo for potato warfare? Your choice, but I would suggest eating potatoes to fight the war on hunger, now you get the best of both worlds. Potatoes are high in fiber, vitamin B6, potassium, iron and Vitamin C. Who would of thunk it??

3.) Brown Rice

YES! FINALLY the brown outranks the whites at something. Chalk up one win for brown rice. The reason for BROWN rice being such a healthful badass is because it is rich in anitoxidants, a nutrient usually found in blueberries and other fruits and vegetables. Not only did it kick white rice's ass, but it can compete with the berries too. Watch out now.

4.) Bananas

Oh bananas, these potassium rich, natural fruit popsicles are my absolute favorite fruit. These guys have also been shown to help make people happier because of their potency of vitamin B6. One last thing about 'naners, you should eat them when they're brown and spotty, and look like, what the Rawbraws would say, "Dinosaur Wieners". Reason being, the hard to digest starch has been converted to easy to digest sugars, meaning less energy spent on breaking them down and more energy to play.

5.) Flax Seeds

An ancient seed that has been around for centuries that has been kicking some major disease ass since then. It's high in omega-3 fatty acids, the kind of fat your brain prefers to make it's home comfy. It has also been linked with the technichal skills and abilities to beat down heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes. This is a perfect example of big things coming in small packages.

6.) Tofu

T-T-T-T-TOFUUUU!!! Hell ya, definitely one of my favorites. This calcium and protein packed blocked of badass as old as the mountains, but its so diverse, this is one old dog that you can teach new tricks. Some people like to make tofu look like a bad guy because it causes an increase in estrogen in the body. This is true, but it's PHYTO-estrogen, "phyto" means plant, and we already know that plant based ANYTHING is GOOD for you. The estrogen in other food products are the ones you should be concerned about. Besides, ladies think a REAL man shows their emotions, you smellin' what I'm steppin' in??
