Exercise...
Keep in mind this is a blog about HEALTH and not only VEGANISM, but the two definitely go hand-in-hand. One aspect of being healthy is maintaining your physical health with not only diet, but also exercise as well. Everyone knows how they should be exercising, but have more important things to do like learn how to cook meth on "Breaking Bad", or watch porn on Miley Cyrus' video, "Wrecking Ball", or any Rihanna video, or Katy Perry video, or.... the list is endless. If's unfortunate, a lot of people are dying from bullshit diseases like Heart Disease, Obesity, and Type 2 Diabetes, all of which can be treated with some exercise(Of course diet too).
The Beginnings
One idea on starting to workout is to begin with an activity that won't make you so bored you'll feel more crazy than a person in straight jacket forced to listen to "Let It Go" from Frozen. This is where a bunch of noobs fall short. They start with running, struggle to get some mileage, don't see the instant results they desire, and just flat out quit. Don't make this mistake, just make sure whatever activity you choose actually is realistic, don't start out with something that's going to kfick your ass from the get go. Start easy, and slowly build up your body's ability to do higher intensities. Back when I made my transition from a 235 lb ball of jiggles, I started with longboarding to work, it was something I was just getting in to and I LOVED to do it. It was nice, I got to rest every 3 pushes or so. This developed my cardio and formed a foundation for fitness. I might suggest starting with walking or biking, if you feel like that's lame as shit, then get on a trampoline, groove to some of your favorite toons or strap your paycheck to your kid's belt, that'll get you moving. Finally Getting The Hang Of It
Once you've gotten your body use to strenuous activity and it doesn't act like a bitch and get sore from a stroll down the road, now you're ready to start a more intense exercise. The exercise you started out with woke up your muscles. Now they're awake, and time to give them a reason for opening their eyes. You can make the transition from walking to light jogging, from biking with your kids around the neighborhood to biking with a friend around the town, or actually being able to get somewhat close to catching your paycheck. For me, I went from longboarding to jogging and I fell in love, all sweaty, after my first run. I tried lifting weights, but I liked the adventurous feeling of exploring different routes around town. Remember in whatever it is you're doing, learn common mistakes and how to avoid them, learn proper form and technique, and don't be afraid to take breaks, this shit is hard and you can get carried away and over use something in your body.Fit As A Mofo
By now you should be feeling like a god damn superhero and be able to take on some intense shit. You're starting to look like greek god and feel like Justin Bieber in a room full of teens. You're starting to see some results and don't dread going for a work out. It's time to start upping the intensity if you've managed to avoid injury to this point. Good job, you've shown to have enough discipline to actually progress in your training and can pretty much eat anything in sight if you keep up with your workout \regimen. You're fit now, the trick is actually staying fit and maintaining all the progress you've made. Don't feel pressured to have to run 12 miles a day, just do some sort of exercise for 20-40 minutes a day and you'll be good. Working out doesn't have to suck, just know the more the merrier within reason.
